Equine America Performance & Recovery Pellets have been scientifically formulated using carefully selected ingredients to provide powerful support for joints and muscles in the performance horse.

Performance horses' muscles and joints are challenged daily with intense training and rigorous racing and competition programmes. Many trainers and elite riders cite musculoskeletal recovery as one of their greatest challenges in managing their racehorses and sport horses, to help each horse achieve their genetic potential, and to maintain health and wellbeing throughout the horse's career. Targeted health supplements can help support the recovery of the musculoskeletal system, as well as supporting performance and longevity of the equine athlete.

Performance & Recovery Pellets contain a unique blend of ingredients to support joint and muscle health including:

Collagen - an important compound needed to produce the water-based matrix or structural framework of the cartilage, to help give it strength and elasticity. As well as providing support for the soft tissues, such as tendon and ligaments.

Hyaluronic acid - a key glycosaminoglycan (GAG) which helps to maintain the viscosity of the joint fluid, to lubricate the joint and act as a shock absorber.

Amino acids to provide the building blocks for the production of the amino sugars such as glucosamine, which is a structural subunit in the production of other glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) which bind to the collagen matrix to help maintain strong and functional cartilage.

Key trace minerals manganese, silicon and copper, which all play important roles in the production of structural compounds such as chondroitin, as well as in the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Copper also plays a key role in the red blood cell and haemoglobin production.

Boswellia serrata and the boswellic acids, including AKBA, provide powerful plant-based support for the horse's own anti-inflammatory systems. Boswellia may help reduce inflammation associated with training and competition.

Antioxidant Vitamins C and E, as well as plant-based antioxidants with many times the activity of vitamin E, including dry grape extract, beet root, and rosemary. Antioxidants supports normal muscle recovery and help to remove damaging free radicals, which can be produced during exercise and stress.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids from flaxseeds, which may help to reduce inflammation associated with training and competition.

Contains no MSM, for those that race under the BHA Rules of Racing.

Directions For Use

Health Supplement for Horses.

For a 1100lb (500kg) horse: Give 100g (4oz) orally daily, this may be split into 2 servings.

Can be given during or after mealtime. Do not exceed recommended intake unless under professional advice.

Cautions: If animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian. Do not use in high doses in patients with stomach ulcers. Not for use with anticoagulant drugs. An examination from a veterinarian is recommended prior to using this product.
